因為韓國駕照除 (Driver's License) 是英文，其余資料都是韓文，故美國租車公司不會接受。要在韓先換 International Driving Permit (IDP)，並帶上韓國駕照，中國護照。有些租車公司還有以下規定:
25 歲以上
租普通車，駕照一年以前發出，或你能證明有一年以上經驗
租 MB, BMW 等高價車，駕照3年以前發出，或你能證明有3年以上經驗
取車只收信用咭，還車時可付現金
如你是初上路，建議購充足保險, 以下是 Hertz New York City 要求:
An acceptable, valid driver's license issued from your country of residence must be presented at the time of rental. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver's license is in a language other than English, and the rental is in the United States, an International Driver's Permit is recommended. In all cases, a valid driver's license issued from your home country must be provided, whether or not you possess an International Driver's Permit. You will not be allowed to rent a Hertz vehicle with only an International Driver's Permit.
On most retail rentals at corporate locations and participating licensee locations, the minimum age is 25 without an additional Age Differential Charge.
From 18 you can rent the following vehicles with an additional Age Differential Charge. USD 52.00 per day: Kia Rio, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla or similar
From 20 you can rent the following vehicles with an additional Age Differential Charge. USD 35.00 per day: Kia Rio, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla or similar
The minimum age for Prestige & Adrenaline Collections, as well as select high performance vehicles, is imperatively 25.
At the time of rental the driver must present a valid national driver's license, which has been held for at least 1 year and a valid passport (or a valid ID card for EU renters) as photographic identification.
For the following vehicle groups you must present a valid national driver's license held for at least 3 years: BMW Series 1, Mercedes C200 ….
Driver's licences issued by the People's Republic of China may be accepted provided you present an official Hertz Certification form. Hertz China will issue this form on Hertz notepaper and will incorporate the Hertz China Corporate seal. A scanned copy of the original licence will appear on the Certification form. The Certification form is valid until the expiry date of the Driver's Licence. BOTH the Certification and the original licence MUST be produced at the time of rental.
